Welcome to the WGN Members Update for June. A warm welcome to our new members who have joined us since the beginning of the month. 

We have plenty of news again this month regarding upcoming event and clinic opportunities.

 

Since our last official email I have hosted a golf tour up to Capricorn - Yeppoon. Seven days of glorious sunshine and lots of golf played.

Those that attended will tell you we do have a great week away. We are off to Mission Hills - China and Hong Kong in November.

Firstly a very warm welcome to our new members and thank you to all members that called in to see us during the ANZ Ladies Masters.

Unfortunately due to the amount of rain experienced on the Gold Coast over the last 24-hours, this afternoon's (Monday 1 March) planned 'Up Close & Personal' promotion with the women professionals has had to be cancelled for this year.
  
Don't forget to visit the WGN stand in the entrance marquee all this week at the ANZ Ladies Masters at Royal Pines.

Queensland can boast a piece of golfing history following the confirmation that the 2010 ANZ Ladies Masters has secured the strongest field ever assembled for a golf tournament in this country.

Victoria Park Golf Complex have a great new session of clinics available starting February 27 especially for Women's Golf Network members.

Well we have hit 2010 running and can you believe it's February already. Weekly golf clinics, the addition of our monthly networking night and the ANZ Ladies Masters drawing closer.

Happy New Year! We have some exciting new events in 2010.

Don't forget our free members quarterly golf clinic with Lee - Sunday 17th January at Oxley Driving Range.  Time is from 3.00-4.30pm and guests are only $20 per person. There is a BBQ following the game and a gold coin donation to Just 4 Kids charity can be made for the BBQ.

This is the final email for 2009 and I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

We are looking forward to 2010 and offering lots of golfing activities for all members. Details of all events and clinics are listed on the Women's Golf Network website.

Two golf clinics were conducted as group sessions for our members in November.

Both Neil at Oxley Driving Range and Bronwyn at Victoria Park took WGN members through long and short game techniques.

A big thanks to Bronwyn Russell - LPGA Professional - who hosted us at Victoria Park last Saturday and put 14 ladies through a 3 hour session covering fitness, stretching, posture, golf fundamentals, club fitting, ball fitting and swing technique.

GOLF RESULTS

All players enjoyed a fun social 9 holes at St Lucia yesterday with both Chris and Jenny finalising their 3 cards for handicap. Well done.

The Women's Golf Network has launched the first of our member competitions in Brisbane. In total 18 new WGN members enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the sun at the beautifully presented St Lucia Golf Links for the first of our regular 9-hole ambrose events.

WGN members are reminded that introductory golf clinics are now available at Oxley Driving Range. Starting on Tuesday 22 September, the clinics include the following:

Brisbane's popular Victoria Park golf complex have released details of introductory golfing clinics for Women's Golf Network members.

The 'Get into Golf' program, run by Victoria Park professional Bronwyn Russell, will run on Wednesday's and Saturday's for six weeks throughout October and November. 

Over 60 ladies of all golfing backgrounds and abilites have enjoyed the launch of Golf Queensland's Women's Golf Network at Brisbane's Victoria Park and Corinda Golf Course.

Women's Golf Network is a new initiative of Golf Queensland.
